Garmin Forerunner 305 showed up on market but now it seems to be on backorder everywhere. Nevertheless, it is possible to find a few reviews of this new GPS unit.

The best review and the only one from a paddler's perspective is still one by Rob Mousley from South African surfski.info. I summarized his review in my previous post on the Forerunner 305, but it is worth to visit surfski.info to see comments in response to his review.
