Ruahine Gladiator - A New Multisport Kayak for A Bigger Intermediate Paddler

Gladiator - multisport kayak from Ruahine

Sportzhub.com, an adventure race website from New Zealand, provides some information about a new multisport kayak from Ruahine:

There's a new Ruahine out this season to increase the range of their fleet. It's tagged the Gladiator and suits the needs of the bigger / heavier paddler in the Entry / Intermediate level, looking for a stable, longer, faster kayak to compete at Coast to Coast and other multisport races. The Gladiator is Ruahines answer to the many requests for such a boat. It is fitted with our larger cockpit and wider seat fitting. It is 5.9m (19'4") long and has a beam of 530mm (20.8").

A number have been delivered to customers receiving plenty of positive feedback that indicates that they perform really well. They are proving to be a fast, lively, railable kayak with plenty of secondary stability.

I have not found any technical information about this kayak on the manufacture website, RuahineKayaks.com, except, a short note in their August news:
Our new Gladiator has been paddled by a number of paddlers in the last couple of days, and we have had good feed back. It is a lively, reliable, longer kayak with lots of secondary stability. The large cockpit and new coaming is roomy and comfortable.
The Gladiator is reported to be faster than an Intrigue but to have better stability than an Opus/Firebolt.
