Paddling Thunderbolt Kayak on Horsetooth Reservoir

Thunderbolt kayak on Horsetooth Reservoir

The 32 mile South Platte River Marathon was run at low water and, now, it looks like it was the last chance to paddle the race course. The river stays low - below 200 cfs at Kersey recently.

I haven't paddled the South Platte since the marathon on March 30. I am exercising my Thunderbolt kayak mostly on the Horsetooth Reservoir which I really like before the season of power boats comes. You can see more pictures from the Horsetooth in my Paddling with a Camera blog.
