... Surfski Speed Comparison, V10 Story, Devizes to Westminter Marathon, SandyBottom's Sea Kayaking Adventures

  • What's the fastest surfski on the market? Ask any six paddlers and you’ll likely get six different answers… And you can bet that the answer will likely be: “the ski that I own”! A group of Cape paddlers got together to try to answer the question objectively. This surfski.info article describes the method used, the results and conclusions…
  • Brent Reitz has started a blog (or blogwise updates) at WildSprint.com. It is mostly about his forward stroke clinics, and, under resources you can find several articles related to paddling technique, training and racing. I believe that they were published in the Hull Speed magazine (now discontinued).
  • SandyBottom aka Dawn Stewart has redesigned her blog SandyBottom's Sea Kayaking and Kruger Paddling Adventures. This excellent blog was originally created to report her training and preparations for WaterTribe Ultimate Florida Challenge and her progress during the race. The Challenge is over and the blog is changing its focus to stories and lessons learned and to training for new paddling adventures.
  • Paddle Log, UK based sea kayaking blog, covers preparation, training, and a report from paddling Devizes to Westminster 2006 Marathon.
  • And, the newest article from surfski.info: The V10 Story - computer design plots, pictures from building the hull and deck plugs, venturi drain, etc. Fascinating! Finally, pictures of the new V10L with the low volume nose.
