Wyoming Outback Challenge on the North Platte River - Strong Current and Head Wind

Digging in my photo archives I found a few pictures shot by my wife Connie during 2007 Wyoming Outback Challenge on the North Platte River from Saratoga to Fort Steele. It is nice to look at something else than the South Platte which is right now the only open water in northern Colorado.

For this year, the 48 mile race is scheduled in the middle of Memorial Day weekend on May 25, 2008. They are just two classes to enter: single or double blade. I hope to see more racers this year. You can expect great scenery, high water, a fast current and a strong headwind.

Please check 2008 Marathon Race Calendar for more racing opportunities in Colorado and vicinity.
