Marathon Kayak and Canoe Racing Video with Anna Hemmings

This nice movie clip showing a spirit of marathon canoe and kayak racing was edited and partially filmed by Andrew Daniels with some footage from Anna Hemmings website. He has another racing oriented video clip on YouTube prepared for Reading Canoe Club.

It is worth to visit the official site of Anna Hemmings . In the multimedia gallery you can watch Anna regaining her status as the World’s leading marathon canoeist at the Marathon Racing World Championships in Perth, Australia in 2005.

Step into the mind of a 4 times World Champion…

...Walk away feeling inspired and empowered

As a four times world champion canoeist and highly accomplished motivational speaker Anna Hemmings knows what it takes to succeed. But she also knows that a huge amount of hard work and determination is needed to reach any goal - not just in the sports arena but across all walks of life. Her story of commitment, self-belief and success in the face of adversity translates well in every arena because she has the ability to connect with, inspire, entertain and motivate audiences across the board.

Anna was told by medical experts that she might never race again. She thought she would have to retire from the sport when diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) two years ago. Following a series of failed treatments Anna began to think that her hopes of competing again were ebbing further and further away. However, she eventually found a successful cure for the miserable condition and her tenacity and inspirational positive attitude lead to a miraculous return to fitness.

Having competed at the Olympics once already Anna’s goal now is to become Olympic Champion, but she realises that you have to take one step at a time in order to push the boundaries. It’s the same in business. Anna’s motivational keynote speech demonstrates clearly, how with the right tools this can be accomplished in any field.
