Gone Paddling ... WaterTribe Ultimate Florida Challenge - 1200 Miles Around Florida + 40 mile Portage


WaterTribe Challenges
I am just leaving Fort Collins for Florida to paddle WaterTribe Ultimate Florida Challenge: a 1200 miles expedition race around Florida, March 4 - April 2, 2006. I will resume blogging and other internet activities in early April.

The race results feed below will go alive from March 4th to April 2nd during Ultimate Florida Challenge. The challengers are required to report their positions every 24 hours. Hopefully, they will be providing the lat/lon coordinates from their GPSs. The first real postings in the race feed will start appearing on Saturday night (March 4th).

You can trace the progress of challengers in the WaterTribe Race Viewer. There are 10 challengers in the UFC. I am appearing under my WaterTribe name - Wayfarer. The two shorter races starts together with UFC at Fort Desoto in Tampa Bay: Ultra Marathon (Fort Desoto - Placida, 68 miles) and Everglades Challenge (Fort Desoto - Key Largo, 300 miles)
