Fitness for Body and Soul - Evening Paddle Workout

paddling Sisson Nucleus evening paddling workout Fort Collins paddling
I am just happy after 2 hour paddling workout with Sisson Nucleus on my local Beaver Pond in Arapaho Bend Natural Area in Fort Collins. The first hour was for paddling intervals around the lake. I am still hoping to improve my time in the virtual race before all reservoirs in northern Colorado get frozen and I will have to move to South Platte River. The second hour was devoted to a more leisurely paddling, watching the sunset and shooting water reflections with Pentax Optio WP.

The lake is located at the crossing of a freeway and another major highway with a heavy traffic. However, after paddling hundreds of miles around the lake I don't hear the traffic noise any more. I can listening to birds and coyotes. Tonight, I had a company of at least one hundred of migratory geese, numerous black birds and a lonely blue heron.

GPS trip odometer: 9.4 miles, moving time 1:57h, stopping time 0:05h, moving average speed 4.8 mph, max speed 7.9 mph. My body is tired and my soul is fixed for a day or two.
