Winter Paddling Season on the South Platte River

winter paddling on South Platte River
Paddling JKK Supernova kayak below Plumb Ditch Dam on the South Platte River near Greeley. The picture was shot with Canon 5D camera with a timer control on a tripod. A diversion dam always provides a nice dynamic background for flat water pictures. February 16, 2012.

There is a plenty of water for paddling at least in the Brighton to Ft Lupton and Evans to Kuner river sections.

    Hi,
I’m a young paddler and a novice sailor from Rome, Italy. I love your site, your passion for kayak, photography and nature.
I would be proud to meet you and paddle in these great places.
May I ask you what drysuit(s) do you use? I’ve never paddled/sailed in colder seasons but I’d like to do.
    Bye
    Maurizio
