This year I had a longer break in paddling during winter than usual. I finished my 2013 season in late November with Badfish SUP on the Poudre River in Fort Collins and restarted in late January on the South Platte River with Sea Wind canoe. So far, my paddling is more oriented to photography than a serious training.
January 21, 2014. This was my first paddling in 2014 and the first paddling on the South Platte after September 2013 flooding. More pictures in Paddling with a Camera blog.
February 16, 2014. Another paddling on the South Platte River, this time above Kuner. More winter like landscape than a month ago. More pictures.
February 2014. Paddling upstream from the Kingfisher Point Natural Area (it used to be called Nix Natural Area) for a little photo session.
February 2014. The same section of the Poudre River, but this time in Sea Wind canoe.
March 2014. Paddling and photographing my new red canoe. The only tandem boat in my paddling fleet. I used to paddle Badfish SUP with a second person seating. More pictures of Penebscot 16 canoe.
March 2014. It’s getting warmer. Time to do some lake paddling. I also paddled Badfish SUP in fall and winter on the Poudre River.
March 2014. A windy day with Bark SUP. I preferred to use a wet suit with this one.
Some of my paddling places on google maps.
