Confused by Resistance Band Training?

Confused?

This is a picture from my recent series of self portraits. In the last 3 months I shot more than 120 similar pictures in my home studio. A lot of them were related to self care and fitness over 60 concept. Well, it’s time to take advantage of my age and have some fun too. This is more a personal project, but most of these pictures I included in my stock photography portfolio, so they are available for licensing from Adobe Stock and other agencies as royalty free images.

Am I confused by resistance bands? Well, not really. I’ve been using thera bands for years for shoulder therapy and actual training. During my Texas Water Safari years I even setup a kayak/canoe trainer: sitting on a large Swiss ball with a paddle shaft and working out with the band anchored at a door.

A couple years ago, I got a set of these orange bands from Undersun Fitness. It’s a nice set of 5 bands of different strengths and a door anchor. Frankly speaking, I am using only the 3 lightest bands.

James Grage from Undesun Fitness has a lot of educational content on the website and on his youtube channel: pros and cons of resistance bands, tips, training programs, how they compare to free weights, etc. So, no danger to be confused or overwhelmed. You can find much more info on resistance bands on youtube, e.g. on Athlean-X channel.
