Canoe & Kayak Racing Magazine – 2nd Issue Devoted to Texas Water Safari

Portaging the old Rio Vista Dam on San Marcos River during Texas Water Safari 2001.
The dam was replaced by whitewater park

Dan Grubbs just released the 2nd issue of the online Canoe & Kayak Racing magazine. It is devoted to Texas Water Safari which runs next month (starting 2nd Saturday of June). You should also check the first issue if you haven’t read it yet.

I wrote a little comparison of three ultra marathon races for the current issue: Texas Water Safari, WaterTribe Everglades Challenge and Missouri River 340. Texas Water Safari 2002 was my first race and it had the strongest impact on my paddling and racing.

  1. I am looking for some experienced kayakers to review my new kayaking-related novel set on the Arkansas river in Colorado. I will send you the book in pdf form. I hope to have it published next Spring but my agent wants reviews to send to prospective publishers now.
    Any takers?
